Stephen joined IronBridge in 2005 as CIO of IronBridge International, running the
Global equities team from London.
The members of the Global team have worked together building a unique and powerful
investment approach based upon the core principles of long term wealth creation
consistent with all the IronBridge strategies. By March 31st, 2010 a strong track
record together with the support of a wide variety of clients enabled AUM in the
Global strategy to reach $5bn.
Prior to joining IronBridge, Chris and Stephen first met in London in 1992, not
long after Stephen was appointed portfolio manager at Morgan Grenfell (Deutsche
Asset Management). Stephen spent over 15 years at Morgan Grenfell, initially as
a UK equity manager before becoming Head of Equity Strategy, Head of Global Research
and ultimately Head of Global Equities.
Stephen met Matt in 1997 when he moved to London to work with Chris at HOLT. They
have worked closely ever since on a wide variety of investment challenges across
all the major global equity markets. In addition, while Head of Global Equities,
Stephen recruited both James and Peter and they have now worked together as a team
for over eight years.
Stephen graduated in 1990 at the top of his class with an M.A. in Economic History
from The University of St Andrews, Scotland.
